Make Your Next Move Easy!

Getting organized for your next move. If your next move is around the corner or clear across country getting organized could remove much of the stress. Moving can be challenging. When standing in the middle of your home and looking around, you begin to wonder, how will you ever get everything in a box and to your new location? It can seem overwhelming. Here are a few pointers to make your next move a smooth move. Create an inventory. Know exactly what you are moving. As you go through each room of your house you may find there are things you do not want to take with you on your next move. Keep the basic necessary items separate. Put the toilet paper and toothbrush and a set of handy tools in a separate box labeled correctly so when you arrive at your new place you will know exactly where these items are. Purge and Donate. When you have decided what you are not taking on your next move, ask your friends or family if they can use any of your unwanted possessions. There are many thrifts stores that could use items to sell for a worthy cause. Donating could even be a tax write-off. Check with your financial adviser on this. Pack similar items together. When you pack be sure to plan. Pack one room at a time and label it accordingly. Limit the weight of each box, so as they are not too heavy to carry. Make sure you use enough packing for your fragile items Make a list. Moving is more than just packing. Getting organized for your next move is more than just packing efficiently. There is also making arrangements for the moving truck and turning on utilities at your new home and many other things that could slip through the cracks when you have a lot on your mind. Make a list and do not be afraid to delegate to other members of the family.I sure hope these tips make your next move smoother. First Time Buyers Purchase Short Sale

A Short Sale For First Time Home Buyers When first time home buyers purchase a short sale it can be very challenging.  There is nothing I enjoy more than  helping a client find a home.  Buying a home for the first time can be scary and challenging.  Making a final decision is not easy.  Recently we had an opportunity to help these buyers find their first home in Medford Oregon. Our first home buying experience was a wild ride; luckily we had the right help to get us through this new experience and made it as memorable and fun as we were hoping for.  We ended up putting an offer in on a short sale house shortly after we began looking at homes in the Medford area. Vic started by showing us houses that were in our price range with the features that we were looking for without pressure to jump on any one. Of course once we found the one we wanted it became a little nerve racking making that big decision to buy it. We decided on a two bedroom, one bath house that was built in the 1950’s. It was our perfect starter house. Overall the process was as smooth as we could have hoped for with a short sale and with Vic on our side we ended up coming in under budget and closing earlier than we expected.  Now we are loving everyday in our new home and are very excited to begin adding our own little touches. The American Dream of Home Ownership

On this fourth of July, let me take this opportunity to thank our customers and clients who have trusted us through the years and allow us to reach our American dream. I am reminded how privileged we are to live in a country where we can own our own land, our own house and live free. It is the American dream. Owning a home is still a way of life here in the United States of America. Many people are able to gain wealth, through home ownership. Many people find they enjoy the security of owning their own home. Raising a family in the security of your own home is one of the many freedoms we enjoy here in the U.S.A. Some families move across the country throughout their life time and are able to own several homes. Others own the same home their entire life. I know I love selling real estate. One of the reasons I enjoy my job, is because I believe it is patriotic. To be part of so many people reaching and obtaining the American dream is one of the most patriotic things I could imagine doing. Maybe it is not as patriotic and those who actually have gone out on the front lines and fought for our freedoms. I do not mean to compare myself to them. However, some times when bringing a real estate transaction to the closing table it can feel like I have fought in a war. Medford Beer Week 2013 Sunday Events The party continues all week long at Medford Beer Week 2013 and if you were unable to start the party on Saturday June 8, it is not to late to start the celebration on Sunday June 9. The events promise not to disappoint. Everyone is invited! Bring your friends or make some friends when you come to Medford Beer Week 2013  but come to the Marquis Event Schoolhaus Brewhaus Kickball Tournament with Deschutes Brewery at Fau Kimmling’s Schoolhaus Brewhaus. This event starts at 11 am and continues until dusk. Two fields will be set up. The winning team will get the Descheutes Kickball Championship Cup. Show up by 10 am to register your team. If you need more information call Schoolhaus Brewhaus at 541-899-1000. If you are not a sportsman or sportswoman than come enjoy live music at the Trophy Club from 4 pm until 9 pm. There will be special prices on beers and raffles. Bring your own meat to the BBQ at Apocalypse Brewing. The grill and utensils are provided. Beer specials throughout the day! Enjoy some beer and cheese at the Beerworks from 3 pm until 6 mp. You can taste five different kinds of cheese and five different kinds of beers for $6.00.
